Next for Vinci · in development

Start the work. Make room for life.

We’re building Vinci for work you can hand over without handing away control. Start on your computer, let a useful task move forward independently, and check in from your phone.

The experience we’re working toward

  1. Give the work a clear goal.

Ask Vinci to investigate a bug and prepare a fix. Set the scope, the budget, and the decisions you want to keep.

  2. Close the laptop. Go live your day.

The goal is for work to continue on its own machine, with a clear account of progress and a way to ask for your attention when it matters.

  3. Pick up where the work leaves off.

Review the proposed change, its checks, and what it cost from your phone. Decide what happens next.

Vinci is in production on the web, with sign-up open. The Vinci mobile app is available to download now in the App Store and on Google Play; a new version is in store review. The broader cross-device delegation experience described here is still in development, with no public launch date announced.

What we need to prove before an alpha.

Start a useful task on one device. Close the laptop. Work continues on an independent host, survives or reconciles an interruption, and can be inspected and reviewed from a phone—with evidence of the outcome and worker shutdown.

Conversations, projects, tasks, and artifacts belong to Vinci. Durable execution, supervision, authority, and recovery are the underlying technology that supports this one experience.

This is a qualification target. Before opening a controlled alpha, we need to test usability, privacy, cost, independent execution, recovery, and human review together.

Vinci release availability

Vinci on the web and the Code CLI public beta are separate ways to try Vinci. The record below describes the released Code CLI artifact; hosted web and mobile availability are described above.

Vinci · Interfaces and account access

One experience. Different ways to use it.

Vinci is the product. Conversations, tasks, and projects are part of it; the web, your computer, and your phone are ways to use it. We’re bringing these together as one experience.

On the web. Vinci is in production on the web, with sign-up open. The broader task-first experience remains in development.

On your computer. A way to work with Vinci on your computer, rather than a separate product identity.

On your phone. The Vinci mobile app is available to download now in the App Store and on Google Play. A new version is in store review; cross-device delegation remains in development.

Account and developer tools. Existing account and developer tools, with established access and support routes.

Availability differs by interface and release. Existing account and support routes remain available; new capabilities will be announced when ready.
